Priority Creative Director Jan Vana received the gold medal in the Identity – Packaging category during yesterday’s ceremony for the prestigious Swedish Design Awards. Vana’s classic packaging design for client Järna Mejeri took home the prize for Priority
– “We have worked with Järna Mejeri for many years to develop a visual style that is consistently clean and timeless. Both our design team and the client have always been confident that this design reflects Järna Mejeri’s identity. It is very exciting to have the products recognized nationally and a sign that our team has correctly assessed the work we’ve done for Järna Mejeri,” says Vana.
Twenty-two total designs were nominated in the packaging category that Vana’s design won. Both the jury and audience gave the design top scores, resulting in its first-place standing. The white packaging design has previously been recognized by the international design platform The Dieline, among others, and continues to stand out in Sweden’s dairy shelves due to its minimalism
– “We are very proud and happy to have our design recognized at such a renowned competition. Our products are already the highest-quality, and now we can say that our packaging is too,” says Juhani Selvani, Chairman of the Board at Järna Mejeri
Priority’s CEO Erik Tillberg views the success at the Swedish Design Awards as a testament to Priority’s excellence in design, but also to the collaboration between the agency’s three pillars – Design, Business Strategy, and Communication.
– “We excel at combining world-class design, dynamic analyses of clients’ business identity and needs, and practical communication tools. That is Priority’s business concept and something that impacts almost all of our customer relationships. We are very happy but not surprised that this is being noticed.”
The jury’s motivation: “Because “less” is often not allowed to be “more” and for a confidently packaged and sincere concept that’s long-lasting.”
