We are proud to announce that our executive creative director Jan Vana has been awarded both gold and silver in the prestigious design award Graphis Packaging 10 2022. He struck gold with his playful and creative packaging of Grand Hôtels own tea, that has become a favorite at the hotel. Next to that, we are thrilled to be awarded second place in the same competition for the packaging identity for the Änglamark brand that has become a visual icon at Coop.
Priority has been working with Grand Hôtel since 2011, helping Scandinavia’s only five-star hotel to establish their visual identity. For the tea-packaging, Jan used the illustration concept he created to de-dramatize the luxury hotel with the key point to create attractive packaging that would present the Grand Hôtel brand to a broader audience.
– We wanted the packaging to encapsulate the essence of Grand Hôtel, the feeling of the afternoon tea experience and the atmosphere as well as the traditional sense of sociality associated with sharing a cup of tea at Grand Hôtel. I drew inspiration from and played around with different playful scenarios that made the packaging come to life, Jan Vana, executive Creative Director at Priority.
Coop has partnered with Priority to revitalize the renowned brand of Änglamark. A pioneer brand within organic, environmentally, and allergy-friendly products. The Änglamark product range has since the revitalization continued to grow, further strengthening the visually appealing packaging. The iconic Änglamark “ä” which visually stands out is now a clear indicator and proof of qualitative, organic, and price-worthy products.
