The Swedish nominations have been released for the 2020 Cannes Young Lions – the award that selects Sweden’s sharpest young creators under 30 years of age. The winners will represent Sweden at the world’s most prestigious international competition in creative industries – the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity – held in Cannes since 1954. Priority’s Paola Alonso Chapel has been nominated as one of three in the design category.
Paola Alonso Chapel, designer at Priority, together with Mathilda Helenasdotter have designed the nominated work :Part 2020. The nominated work was created for SthlmOP, an organization that works to open up the communication industry for young people from the outer suburbs of Stockholm.
– “The important work of inclusion and diversity inspired us and our proposal for the visual identity. With :Part 2020, we want to show the importance of everyone taking part in the initiative, and highlight the importance of their perspectives for companies and organizations involved. With this in mind, each participant is allowed to design their own symbol, a colon and a P, and then free to include that in the new identity in any way possible.” Paola says.
– “We believe that design is most effective when you use a creative perspective to solve a clearly formulated challenge, whether on a business or societal level. This nomination is proof that our employees are competing among the best. Of course, we are particularly proud of Paola’s commitment and ability to use her design skills for such an important social issue.” Alva Ohlsson, Head of Design at Priority says.
Priority develops new businesses and brands that affect and change. We combine expertise in business strategy, communications, sales and design into a combined offering and are constantly seeking the best talents in the market.
