Priority’s font wins top prize at international design competition Graphis Awards

Priority received the gold for their font Priority Sans at this year’s Graphis Awards, a prestigious international design competition. The font won in the Typeface Design category. Priority’s designer Linnea Anckers is the creative mind behind the font, having designed the sans serif in 2017 for Priority’s new graphic profile.

“This is my first major international award, which makes it extra fun, of course. I am now looking forward to further developing Priority Sans, and above all else, to help design more fonts for clients,” says Linnea Anckers, Designer at Priority.

Why Create your own font?

Priority chose to develop its own font in 2017 to reflect the agency’s commitment to communicating in a clear, light, and visually-appealing way. As a result of this effort, the agency now uses Priority Sans in everything from the company website and presentations to strategic reports.

Priority CEO Erik Tillberg sees several benefits of being recognized at the Graphis Awards:

“First and foremost, I am very proud of our design team for winning the gold at a competition with contestants from all over the world. Additionally, the award is a good way for us to demonstrate our expertise in typography to our clients. Many of the companies we work with hope to signal their core values and distinguish themselves from competitors, and helping them produce their own font is a powerful way to do so,” says Erik Tillberg, CEO at Priority.
